Our Privacy Policy explains how Livvi collects, uses and discloses information about you to provide you with the best experience on our platforms and through our Services.  The terms “Livvi”, “Livvi List”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Moxie App Technologies, Inc. We use the terms “you”, “your”, and “user” to mean any person using the Livvi Services or attending related events. By using our Service, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and to our Terms and Conditions.

0.     Description of Livvi Services

0.1. Livvi Platform and Community:
“Livvi Services” or “Services” refers collectively to the Livvi platform and community, including all tools, features, communications, and experiences we provide.

0.2. Group Matching and Social Experiences:
Livvi provides a group-matching service that places users into small curated groups. This includes group placement, introductions, and related communications.

0.3. Recommendations and Event-Based Features:
Livvi provides recommendations for events, venues, activities, and social opportunities. These recommendations may be delivered by email, SMS, or other communication channels.

0.4. The Livvi List (SMS Recommendations Service):
The Livvi List is our SMS-based service that delivers curated suggestions for events, venues, discounts, deals, brand promotions, freebies, partner offers, and other socially relevant opportunities. Livvi List messages may be personalized based on your profile information, demographics, location, interests, preferences, survey responses, and engagement history.

0.5. Additional Services:
Livvi Services also include related communications, surveys, feedback forms, event coordination, partner collaborations, and any other activities or experiences we provide as part of the Livvi platform.

1.     Information We Collect

1.1.  Directly Provided Information: We collect information that you provide directly to us. This data is collected when you fill out our onboarding form, choose interests or groups, attend events, provide feedback, or otherwise communicate with us. This data includes your name, date of birth, phone number, email, gender identity, racial and ethnic identity, education information, occupation information, relationship status, location, hometown, interests, hobbies, and preferences related to friendship and social activities. This data may be used to create compatible groups, provide personalized recommendations, send community or event-related updates, deliver curated text recommendations, personalize partner and event suggestions, or support and improve our broader Service offerings.

1.2.  Automatically Collected Information: When you interact with the Livvi Services, we may automatically collect certain information, including your browser type and language, device type, IP address, general location information, and time taken to complete onboarding forms or surveys. We may also collect technical or interaction information that helps us operate, improve, personalize, or expand our Services.

1.3.  Communication Data: We may collect data related to your communication with us, including email address, phone number, or other contact information you provide when signing up, requesting support, or responding to messages.  We may also collect information related to your interactions with our SMS messages, emails, or other communications (such as link clicks or responses), for business and analytics purposes.

2.     Use of Collected Information

2.1.  Group Creation, Personalized Recommendations and the Livvi List: We may use the information about you described above for the various business purposes related to operating our Services, which include the creation of compatible groups. We may also use this information to offer curated recommendations, including potential matches, events, venues, partner experiences, deals, discounts, brands and offers via the Livvi List delivered through SMS, email or other communication channels.

2.2.  Communication: We may use your information for various business purposes related to communicating with you, including but not limited to:

  • responding to comments, questions and requests

  • communicating with you about service updates, waitlist updates, group matches, event reminders and the Livvi List

  • communicating with you about new products, services, experiences, partner offerings, curated city recommendations, or other content we believe may be of interest to you

  • conducting online surveys

Communications may be delivered via SMS, email, or other channels.

2.3.  Site and Experience Improvement: We may use aggregated and anonymized data to analyze trends, improve our platform, and enhance user experience. This data will not include any personally identifying information. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information for analytics and business purposes.

2.4.  Advertising and Other Uses: We may use your information to provide content, features or sponsorships that match member profiles or interests. This may include facilitating contests or other promotional activities or sending marketing communications. We may also use your information to personalize or deliver recommendations, updates, promotions, or offers, including partner experiences, sponsored or partner-provided content, or third-party opportunities featured through our Services.

 2.5. Aggregated and Anonymized Data Uses

We may use, share, license, or sell aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information. This includes demographic insights, interest clusters, engagement patterns, and location-based trends for analytics, research, sponsorships, marketing insights, or other business and commercial purposes. This information does not personally identify you.

3.     Data Sharing

3.1.  User Profiles: We share some of the information that we collect when you are matched into your group through GroupMe, Discord or other third-party communication channels used to support our Services. This includes your name, but does not include your email or phone number. 

3.2.  Group Communication Channels: THE DECISION TO JOIN ANY COMMUNICATION CHANNEL AND SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH THE BROADER GROUP MEMBERS IS SOLELY AT YOUR DISCRETION. ANY INFORMATION THAT IS ALREADY PUBLIC ON YOUR PROFILE WITHIN A THIRD-PARTY COMMUNICATION PLATFORM MAY BE VISIBLE TO OTHER GROUP MEMBERS. We encourage users to be cautious and mindful of what they share.

3.3.  Third-Party Service Providers: We may engage third-party service providers to assist us in delivering our Services effectively. Information you provide may also be shared with these trusted third parties who help us operate, improve, or promote our Services. These third parties may access information only as necessary to perform tasks on our behalf. These providers currently include, but are not limited to, GroupMe, Discord, AirTable, Twilio, JotForm, Fillout, Zapier, Render, Partiful and Meta.

3.4 Partnerships: We may share limited information with partners who provide events, activities, promotions, ticketing, or other experiences featured through our Services. Partners will receive only the information reasonably necessary to provide or support their offerings (such as event registration, ticketing or confirmations) and may contact you directly only as needed to deliver that experience.

3.5.  Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request, such as a court order, subpoena, or government investigation.

3.6. Business Transfers, Acquisitions, or Sale of Assets: If we are involved in any merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. This includes personal information such as phone numbers, emails, demographic data, preferences, and engagement history. Any successor entity will continue to handle your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy or a policy offering comparable protection.

4.     Data Security
We take data security seriously and implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5.     Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as you maintain an account or remain subscribed to the Livvi Services, and for as long as it is reasonably necessary to operate, improve, or support the Services. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting info@livvi.app.

We may also retain aggregated or de-identified information in perpetuity for analytics, reporting, research, sponsorship, marketing insights or other business purposes.

6.     Children's Privacy
Our platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 18. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@livvi.app, and we will take steps to delete the information.

7.     Changes to the Privacy Policy
Livvi may update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. We will post the most recent version of the Privacy Policy on this page. Your continued use of the Services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We may also notify you of material changes through email, SMS, or other reasonable communication methods.
